1st Meeting Armed Forces Breakfast Club South Normanton
The first meeting of the new Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club was held last Friday morning at the Post Mill Centre. South Normanton Parish Councillor Andrew Joesbury and other armed forces veterans enjoyed a chat and a good old catch up over breakfast, tea and coffee.
The club will meet at The Post Mill Centre, Market Street, South Normanton, Derbyshire, DE55 2EJ. To join, all you need to do is provide proof of service, a photo in uniform or some form of documentation and agree to the membership rules.

Local Bolsover and South Normanton councillor, Andrew Joesbury, has started the club for veterans and serving members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.
The ethos of the group is to provide mutual support. It works because everyone has a similar humour and outlook and the social life we now enjoy is like the service days.
All armed services veterans (If you can cope with the banter), just turn up on a Friday morning, and you will be made most welcome. There will be free tea and coffee and a 20% price reduction for food. WW2 veterans will also be entitled to a free breakfast.
If you have served or know anyone who has, please tell them about the club. The Mansfield club has a regular attendance of about 40, and they love it, so let’s make the club in South Normanton equally popular.
