Her Majesty The Queen – Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

South Normanton Parish Council is excited to announce that we are planning a special day on Saturday 4th June 2022 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old.To recognise and mark this historic occasion, a special event will take place in South Normanton at The Post Mill Centre. All our residents are invited to join in the celebrations.

We will bring you more news about the celebration day and its activities in the coming weeks as we continue to plan the event.
