AFC Normanton

Welcome to AFC Normanton
AFC Normanton was in the 2018/19 football season when the lads grew out of being South Normanton Colts.
The club entered the Alfreton & District Sunday league & in our first season, and won Division 2 and the league cup. AFC Normanton then gained promotion into Division 1. Following our successful first season, we acquired a youth team with lads from the village & our under 11’s are going from strength to strength & are also very successful.
The 2019/20 season was ruined by the Covid-19 Pandemic and a scrapped season due to all the restrictions. 2020/21 saw the resumption of football, and we won the Division 1 title.
2020/21 is the current season, and it has started well. AFC Normanton are working hard to defend our league title.
Our ambition is to progress & play at a higher level on a Saturday. To do this, it’s a league rule that you must have dug outs & a crowd barrier around the pitch.
Phase 1 of that will be completed by building the dug outs this autumn. Apart from the help of a local builder, we have done all the work ourselves & had funding help from Whitemeadow Upholstery. Some materials were kindly donated by Westerman Homes, so that was a massive help & we think they worked out how we wanted them. The dugouts are now perfect on cold and wet days for the manager and to keep the team’s substitutes dry.
All the teams at the Boundary Park football pitches are working hard to improve the facilities for the community & are now looking forward to having state-of-the-art CCTV installed to cover the whole site.
While all these improvements have been going on, we would like to thank you for the great support the Parish & District councils have given us.
