South Normanton Gardeners Association

We are a lively village group of over 60 members with a common love of plants and gardening. Our aim is to deliver a varied and interesting programme to cover as many aspects of gardening as possible with an appeal to all. Indoor meetings usually have a speaker with slides/photographs or plants. There are often plants for sale. Sometimes we will visit a garden or nursery instead of an indoor meeting. We also have an annual whole day trip to a garden or gardens or to a show, and in May we hold our annual market stall sale of plants. In September, we stage our annual show where there are usually many high-quality exhibits. This is followed by a buffet, quiz and prize presentation evening in November. We also have a library of donated books, magazines and DVDs which are available to members.
Meetings commence at 7.30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at The Post Mill Centre, off Market Street, South Normanton, DE55 2EJ, unless otherwise indicated.
Please consult the annual programme also shown on this website before attending, however, in case of a variation of date or venue.Membership costs just £5.00 per annum and the meeting admission charge is only £2.00 for members and £3.00 for non-members.
Visitors and new members always welcome
