Derbyshire Now – 13th June 2025 Edition
Surface dressing plans
Our annual surface dressing programme is set to start on 25 June. The programme is part of wider work to repair and improve the county’s roads.
Almost 60 roads are to be surface dressed, which will extend their life. There will be road signage in advance and you’ll get a letter if it’s going to closely affect you.
When we carry out surface dressing, we usually close the road for safety reasons and put a signed diversion in place. We can’t surface dress in some weather conditions, for example when it’s damp, wet or cold, which could delay the works at the last minute.
