Evening Talk – South Normanton Colliery Disaster 1937
Local author Roger West will present an evening talk and presentation on the 1937 South Normanton Colliery Disaster.The mining accident occurred on Monday 15th February 1937 when an explosion in the Waterloo Seam of the Winterbank Pit claimed eight lives and seriously wounded many other local men.
