Future of Derbyshire Councils decided
Today Government has announced its decision on Local Government Reorganisation in Derbyshire.
The option selected is B1. This means Derbyshire will split into two unitary authorities with Bolsover sitting in the Northern authority. The B1 option splits the district of Amber Valley with some parishes joining the Northern authority and some joining the South.
The changes will come into effect from 1 April 2028.
