Yvonne ‘Von’ Costello Memorial Bench

South Normanton Parish Council are proud to announce that a new memorial bench as been installed on The Common at corner near to the Storth Lane junction. The new bench and memorial plaque are to commemorate the loving memory of Yvonne ‘Von’ Costello who passed away suddenly on Friday 6th November 2020.

The bench was paid for by kind donations from the public, collected by Peter Dzalmanis at the The Frying Squad, fish and chip shop and the installation costs were covered by South Normanton Parish Council.

The bench dedication was attended by Kirsty Meredith also representing Adam Wainwright and Von’s grandsons Lewis and Levi who are featured in the photos.

Von who is sadly missed by her family, friends and all who got to know her during her many years of loyal service at the Brigg Infant School and at The Frying Squad. We hope that this bench will give the community of South Normanton a place to reflect and remember her.
