AFC Normanton New Dugouts

AFC Normanton are proud to announce the installation of their new team dugouts at the Parish Council Boundary recreation ground football pitch. The two new dugouts for the home and away teams were built towards the end of the summer. They were ready and in use for the start of the 2021/2022 football season in September.

Mr Robert Evans (AFC Normanton Manager) said,
“Our ambition is to progress & play at a higher level on a Saturday. To do this, it’s a league rule that you must have dug outs & a crowd barrier around the pitch. Phase 1 of that has now been completed by building the dugouts. Apart from the help of a local builder, we have done all the work ourselves & had funding help from Whitemeadow Furniture Limited. Some of the materials were kindly donated by Westerman Homes, so that was a massive help & we think they worked out how we wanted them. They are now perfect on cold and wet days for the teams manager & substitutes to dry in. All the teams at the Boundary football pitches are working hard to improve the facilities for the community & are now looking forward to having state-of-the-art CCTV installed to cover the whole site. While all these improvements have been going on, we would like to thank the great support the Parish & District councils have given us.”

The South Normanton Boundary football pitch is the home to three local football clubs, South Normanton Villa FC, South Normanton Albion FC and AFC Normanton (Senior & Junior).
