Free fun this summer

If your children get free school meals they can also get free fun activities this summer.

It’s About Me, Derbyshire’s Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF), is back again for the school summer holidays. The HAF programme is open to children from reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals.

There are also activities available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. More information can be found at SEND Information – It’s About Me.

For young people who can’t attend in person, the project also offers remote packs which have activities for all children.

Eligible families can get their code from their school and full details of how to book can be found on the It’s About Me website. 

Bookings open on Monday 29 June – but be quick as places are limited.

During the Easter holidays, It’s About Me organised 134 holiday clubs attended by almost 5,000 eligible children. Another 1,050 accessed remote activities.
