Queen Elizabeth II – 1926 to 2022
It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on September 8th 2022.
South Normanton Parish Council would like to express our sadness and sincerest condolences following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Through the country’s toughest moments and greatest achievements, in times of despair and times of hope, Her Majesty has continued to encourage and inspire us all throughout her 70 years of loyal and devoted service.
Everyone at South Normanton Parish Council gives their deepest sympathies to the Royal Family and the nation, commonwealth and all other realms and territories at this time of sorrow.
South Normanton Parish Council have led tributes by laying wreaths at the Memorial Garden in The Town Park, South Normanton. We will be flying our flags at half-mast as a mark of respect during the period of mourning.
There will be a book of condolence available for the local community to sign in the Bolsover District Council contact centre in The Hub South Normanton.
